The Fortnite streamer bowl 2 tournaments went live today, but ever since the tournament went live in different regions of the world, there has been a huge uproar from players everywhere on Twitter and other social sites.
The players report that whenever they try to start the tournament, they “failed to query for tournament rules’ error,” as shown below.
The players are all flabbergasted, and the curious thing is that the error doesn’t seem to trouble everyone. This can be seen by the fact that the leaderboards are continuously updating and changing.
This has caused many players to worry as the tournament is only for a fixed time and many players won’t be able to even compete due to the bug, the players are complaining epic games about the issue.
This, however, is not the first instance of such an issue earlier during the hype night event. Sometime around March, a similar error was experienced by the users all around. A similar uproar happened then too. The players tried several things. Some worked, many didn’t. Finally, epic games fixed the issue and informed the players by a tweet.

How to fix the issue?
There has not been any official word on when or how the issue is to be fixed.
There are many solutions on the internet, though they are not sure to work you may try them here’s a list:
- Enable two-factor authentication. It has worked for some.
- A battle pass purchased players don’t have issues with some claim.
- Queue in arena solos and then immediately switch to the tournament. Continue this unless the error goes.
