With all the Negative situations happening across the globe, Pokemon is back with a new season. Season of Celebration in Pokemon begins!

Season of Celebration is the first-ever season for Pokemon go.

Pokemon GO Season of Celebration has already started from 1st December 2020 at 8:00 a.m, and it will last till 1st March 2021 at 8 a.m local time. This season of the Celebration features a vast variety of Pokemon’s in the Southern and the Northern Hemisphere.

Spawns and eggs

While the season is in progress, Trainers can expect to encounter a different wild pokemon in the wild. But as mentioned above, people in the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere will be more likely to face more different Pokemon.

Pokemon are more likely to spawn in the Northern hemisphere.

All the water and ice type Pokemon related to winter will spawn in the northern hemisphere. The new Pokemon which can be seen on these part are:

  • Sandshrew(Alola)
  • Vulpix(Alola)
  • Seel
  • Lapras
  • Teddiursa
  • Deerling(winter)

Pokemon are more likely to spawn in the Southern hemisphere.

All the Fire, Ground, and normal type Pokemon related to summer and are non-ice type will spawn in the Southern hemisphere. The new Pokemon which can be seen on these part are:

  • Growlithe
  • Shuckle
  • Electrike
  • Burmy 
  • Darumaka
  • Deerling(Summer)

The new changes to pokemon eggs will hatch Growlite and wingull from 2 kilometres eggs and Baltoy and Ducklett from 5 kilometres eggs. Shinx will also be hatching from the 5 kilometres eggs, which you will also receive from Adventure sync rewards instead of Ducklett. Aron, elgyem, and seel won’t hatch anymore from these Pokemon Eggs.

Mega Raids on the season of Celebration

While the season is in on-progress, various Mega-Evolved Pokemon will Go through the mega raid system. Everything we know is listed below.

  • Different Mega-Evolved Pokemon will be appearing in mega raids for the new year special.
  • Mega Charizard X, Mega Gengar, and Mega Abomasnow are the only Pokemon that will appear throughout December during the mega raid event. 
  • Mega Charizard X will have a power boost during the first half of December.
  • Just like Mega Charizard X, other Mega-Evolved Pokemon will get a power boost at different times throughout the Season of Celebration.

December Community day

Pokémon GO Next Community Day Will Give You a Shot At 20+ Shinies

Pokemon Go December community event will be starting from Saturday 12th December till Sunday 13th December. Throughout the Community day event, Pokemon Featured in this event from 2019 to 2020 will appear more frequently in the wilds and raids. 

This event will be an excellent opportunity for you to catch Pokemon featured in any of the community Day events you have already missed.
