The game’s association with Chinese form Tencent resulted in PUBG Mobile India being banned in the country in September 2017. After acquiring PUBG Mobile’s publishing and distribution rights, Krafton relaunched it as Battlegrounds Mobile India this year. Pratilipi is a web novel platform co-founded by the same organization that now brings you PUBG: New State to India. Nodwin Gaming, the game streaming service Loco, and an esports firm are among the IT industry investments made by Krafton this year totaling $70 million (approximately Rs. 511 crores).
