Apex legends Season 9 will come with a new mode “Arena“, new weapons, and arguably an overpowered legend “Valkyrie”
Yesterday, on the 23rd of April we got the full reveal of Apex legends to season 9, and it seemed like everything we needed to get hyped. Whether it is for the new legend Valkyrie or the new mode “Arenas” or the new weapons, the fans cant wait to try all this out.
Release Date
The new season named “Legacy ” is set to release on May 4.
Welcome to the Arenas
It’s official! We’re getting a new game mode in the next season. It will be a 3 vs 3 game mode, that will come with new locations. The leaker Shrutgal on Twitter shared this.
Arena triggers found in latest King's Canyon map file.
3v3 TDM-style mode, teams spawn on A and B in gibby bubble. 4 diff loadouts.
One airdrop in center, one medical supply bin spawn at the side.

Areas other than Kings Canyon could be Arena maps including Capacitor, Rig, Broken Relay, Repulsor, and Water Treatment, according to Shrugtal’s research, and ofcourse some new maps. In the trailer we got on April 23rd, we saw players fighting in what appeared to be a snowy area that was not seen before, so it could be a new location for the Arena.
Other than all this, not much is known about the Arena, and what is known is not confirmed, as information about this mode was leaked 4 months ago and there’s a chance things have changed since then. But there’s one thing we can expect- IT’S GONNA BE FUN.
New Legend- Valkyrie
On 19th April Respawn released a lore video introducing our fans to the Valkyrie, who is the daughter of an infamous titan pilot “Viper”.
As we know Apex legends are set in the world of Titanfall, and this video was the closest we ever got to seeing titans in Apex Legends, to a point where we are part of it, kinda, through the new legend Valkyrie.
Valkyrie is…Too Strong?
Apex Legends dev Daniel Klein has said that Valkyrie might be too strong for other legends when season 9 starts, so we can expect a quick nerf from respawning if it actually happens.
Leaked Abilities of Valkryie:
No new data on Valk's abilities in Season 8. Old abilities (from 2020) were,
Passive: VTOL – Can hover in the air for a short time.
Tactical: Cluster Missile – Self explanatory.

These were leaked by Shrugtal on Twitter back in 2020 when they found these in-game files with the code-name “Valk”. These game files haven’t been changed, so we can expect these leaked abilities to be true.
- Passive: Hover in the air for a short period of time.
- Tactical: Cluster missile.
- Ultimate: Valkyrie and nearby teammates redeploy (launch into the air and skydive).
