Pokemon Sword and Sheild have been hosts for many max raid events till now, but this year, it’s shiny! This new event of 2021 is a max raid event where players can collect shiny type pokemon or fight monsters of shiny version. Taking down these Dynamax pokemon are extra challenging and require you to team up with other players. Thus, it is not that easy to fight and obtain one on the go. This event is up only till 10th Jan 2021, so if you have plans to grab one, start trying asap!
This version of the event comprises of two gala pokemon – Skwovet and Greedent. The former appears like a cheeky squirrel, while the latter is the second evolution of hungry. Each of them has only 2% chances to appear in the 5-stars raid, which means they may occur in 1 of 4000 matches. The player will come to know about their encounter with one only when the battle begins, so it’s a long wait.
You will know that they are your opponents when you find an alternate color of their skin. Skwovet’s glossy body will have reddish furs, while Greedent will shine on a cream-complexion. You may also face Dynamax Cherubi, Foongus, Amoongus, Morelull, and Shiinotic but the above two are the most common and frequently occurring shiny pokemon.
There are both positive and negative outcomes of this event. The former includes teaming of players and enhancing the pokemon battle skill and techniques. The latter part comprises players leaving the game in half due to frustration and low excitement levels due to only two and common pokemon availability.
