According to the 2020 Year in Year Analysis report from SuperData, the League of Legends multiplayer online battle arena game from Riot Games has managed to gain a whopping $1.75 billion in the past year, behind Pokemon Go, which produced $1.92 billion.
Legends of Runeterra is a free-to-play digital collectable card game. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS on April 29, 2020, benefited greatly from League of Legends. The original game, released in 2009, remains nonetheless unstoppable. The game produced $624 million in 2013, which grew to $2.1 billion in 2017. Despite a small decline in 2018 to $1.4 billion, sales rose to $1.5 billion again in 2019.

League of Legends was the sixth highest-grossing game of 2020 for all free games, and the only non-mobile game in the top 10.

It goes without any shock, the League of Legends is still a profit-making me for Riot Games. In 2020, the massively successful MOBA generated about $1.75 billion in revenue. Meanwhile, thanks to capital increases, VALORANT, the free-to-play online tactical first-person shooter from Riot Games. It was the ninth highest-grossing game in 2020, is expected to make a major leap in earnings in 2021.
