For every maxed Trainer in Pokemon Go, there is good news. Pokemon Go developers have announced a new level-up design. Also, trainers can now go Beyond level 40! In addition to the level-cap increase, some exciting Pokémon GO gameplay updates are now live!

What is The Legacy 40 Challenge?
The Legacy 40 Challenge is a timed research quest only for players above level 40 released alongside the Go Beyond Update. Trainers who will reach level 40 before 31st December 2020 will get the title of Legacy 40 trainer. Along with it, players will also get exclusive rewards by completing the challenge. Some rewards are – an exclusive Gyarados Hat avatar item and a Legacy 40 special badge.

The Legacy 40 Challenges.
There are a total of 4 challenges cum level-up research at each level from 40. Trainers are required to complete these researches to level up and reach the now max level of 50.
- 1st: Power up Pokemon 10 times (1,000 Stardust), Catch 15 Pokemon (3 Star Pieces), Make 5 Nice Throws (1,000 XP), Rewards: 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 XP, Rufflet encounter.
- 2nd: Catch 15 different species of Pokemon (1,000 Stardust), Transfer 10 Pokemon (1 Unova Stone), Use 15 Pinap Berries while catching Pokemon (1,000 XP), Rewards: 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 XP, 3 Premium Raid Passes.
- 3rd: Make 3 Great Curveball Throws (1,000 Stardust), Win 3 raids (1 Sinnoh Stone), Give your buddy 10 treats (1,000 XP), Rewards: 1,000 Stardust, 3 Super Incubators, 1,000 XP.
- 4th: Already complete (5,000 Stardust), Already complete (Deino encounter), Already complete (1,000 XP), Rewards: 5,000 Stardust, Archen encounter, Gyarados hat.
