Rockstar Games always find new ways to impress their players and give them the chance to experience new locations and gameplays. In the recent GTA Online update on 15th December 2020, they have added ‘The Cayo Perico Heist,’ which they claim is the most ambitious heist ever in GTA history.
“The Cayo Perico Heist” introduces an all-new and exotic location to the GTA map, The Cayo Perico Island, which is the first location not based in the US. The heist can be played solo or with a maximum of three other players. So here’s everything to know about the Heist.

The Cayo Perico Heist and Update
The heist is set on a Paradise Island owned by the drug lord El Rubio. It is the biggest GTA Online adventure ever introduced. With the new update, players can now acquire new vehicles and weapons, experience new social spaces to dance and party. New guest DJs are added to the game. And the most fun, a huge, versatile, heavily armored submarine HQ to interact, has been introduced as apart of the heist. Another addition is the new nightclub called The Music Locker.

The island, owned by a drug dealer, is heavily guarded with security having explosive weaponry. The task is to enter the island, infiltrate it, and escape with maximum evidence. Players can also get money in the form of art, gold, and drug money on the island.

How to start the Heist?
For starters, head to the newly introduced nightclub, The Music Locker, under the Diamond Casino. There you will be able to meet Miguel Madrazo, son of Martin Madrazo, who tells you about his plans of the heist and recovering evidence about his family. After that, you will need to purchase the Kosatka submarine HQ, as it is where you will plan and execute the heist.
You will need to start the Heist to access the island, as the island is not available in free-roam mode. Once you start the heist, the island will be accessible only during the heist.
Collect the max evidence, loot, money, art, gold, and escape the island to complete the heist.
