Change Riot id, Change Valorant name in a few steps : Valorant

You can change Riot id or Valorant Name once every 30 days.

Your VALORANT display name is linked to your Riot account, and you can change it easily with very few steps.

What is Riot id? 

Your Riot ID consists of the Name and hashtag of 3-5 numbers/letters that someone needs to add you on Valorant and other Riot games.

Like Battle.net, having both Name and hashtag will help users have similar names with different hashtags. Only the Name (not the hashtag) shows up in a Valorant match. The hashtags are used for adding friends.

What all can you change?

You can change your full Valorant display name(Riot ID), including the display name and hashtag. Every early user might have a different Riot name and ID, like, t0mcr00se#007, but I would prefer something decent like skd#7729 (It is simple for other players to remember your name!). 

How to change your display name in VALORANT (for free)

1. Log in to your Riot account here
2. Navigate to the Riot ID tab (the second to the left)
3.  Click on the little pen next to your Name
4. Enter your Name and hashtag in the fillups

The hashtag can either be a set of numbers or a random number, letter, or characters that pop into your mind.

Start Valorant, log in with the Riot ID, and you are good to go!

How often can you change your Valorant name (Riot ID)

You can change your display name once a month. So, you have to wait for another 30 days if you mess up while changing the name.
