With holiday season nearing to the end, so has the Dawning mission of Destiny 2. The devs making sure not to disappoint its fans, have successfully unveiled a brand new mission i.e. Coup De Grace and High Celebrant. The mission is now available bringing you some exciting first-hand story campaign to play.
Initiating the quest requires you to speak to The Crow in the Tangled Shore. Next head to the Cryptolith Lure Upgrade section to purchase Improved Seeker II that’ll enable you to Hunt the High Celebrant successfully. Make sure you’re a Rank 7 player to purchase it.
Destiny 2 Coup De Grace mission
After you get the upgrade, speak to Crow which will set you to a mission to eliminate the Celebrant of Xivu Arath. First configure the lure to hunt the High Celebrant in the map and then head to Dreaming city to complete Coup De Grace mission.
You’ll need to enter the Harbinger’s seclude. Locate the Crytolith and Deploy the Lure. Next you’ll have to engage the High Celebrant but that won’t be doing much damage.
That’ll require eliminating the Revenant Knight and getting the Wrathful buff by killing small green enemies. Players will have to engage with High Celebrant again and then head to find the Tear in the Ascendant Plane by following the green trail, teleporting through black orbs by shooting them.
Continue chasing the Celebrant until Wrathborn Ogre hatches. Take them down and deploy the lure that will need you to reach the portal to the Ascendant plane by jumping off some invisible platforms.
This next step of the mission requires you to explore the Ascendant plane and finally defeat the High Celebrant. Just when the energy levels of the celebrant seem low, hit it with the lethal blow and you’ll accomplish the mission.
Considering all of it, we also like to tell you that there may appear some bugs and issues while completing this mission. As you aim to end the final fight with Celebrant quickly might not be a great decision. This part being a bit grim lined, Bungie suggests slow and steady dealing with the Celebrant. Likewise the said rewards which are to be given at the end of the mission to the winners aren’t happening.
We are investigating an issue where some rewards are not dropping from completion of the High Celebrant mission.
