Doom Eternal is a first-person shooter video game thats developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. Its the sequel to Doom (2016) , and the fifth main game in the Doom series. The game was first released on March 20, 2020, for Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Xbox One, with a version for Nintendo Switch being released on 8th of December, 2020.
Along with the single-player campaign, a multiplayer game mode was also introduced. In this mode, players can either play as the Doom Slayer or as a demon, and they fight until the Doom player defeats the demons. Upon the release of the game, Doom Eternal received critical acclaim, with praise for its campaign, graphics, level design, soundtrack, and combat mechanics, though there were some who disliked the increased focus on storytelling and its platforming sections. One interesing thing is that the game is difficult, one of the reasons behind it is that it’s not a first person shooter game, but a first person RTS.

Doom Eternal Game Awards
Bethesda Softworks has announced that Doom Eternal is officially the best selling Doom game in the franchise. It’s success was released in a press release by Bethesda Softworks. The game costs $60 now. So regarding the awards

So after seeing the above table, we can make it out about how much awards the game has won. The Doom Eternal didn’t win any award on Game Awards 2020. But The Game Critics Awards named Doom Eternal as its Best of E3 2019 winner and that too for not one, but two categories– Best Action Game and Best PC Game. The game has also been nominated for the Best Shooter awards from IGN, DualShockers, Game Informer.
Many of the players and fans were disappointed and angry because Doom Eternal didn’t win any awards at The Game Awards. Some blamed the Game Awards committee for their negligence and not awarding Doom Eternal. Some even said that Doom Eternal was robbed at the Game Awards 2020.
