Destiny 2 Servers Are Down For Maintenance And Update!!!
When a major update is released for Destiny 2, server maintenance takes place. Bungie, on the other hand, shuts down the game for a few hours after long vacations to ensure that their servers are functioning properly.
It’ll take some time to repair it. As a result, the final few minutes of the current Dawning event will be reduced significantly for players.
The maintenance work will begin at 5:00 a.m. on January 4, 2022 and end at 9:00 a.m. the same day. The maintenance will start at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) and go until 9:00 a.m. the next day Pacific Time
The maintenance will begin at 5:00 a.m. PST, but players will be able to play the game until 5:45 a.m. PST. Players will be removed from the game after that time, however.
Destiny 1 and 2 are being brought offline for expected maintenance.
At 8 AM PDT (1600 UTC), players will be able to log into Destiny 1 and 2. Ongoing Destiny 1 and 2 maintenance is expected to conclude at 9 AM (1700 UTC).

It’s still unclear if the maintenance is only intended to repair existing problems. This is due to Bungie taking the Christmas holidays in the last week of December.

1:00 pm (January 4) to 5:00 pm (January 4) in the United Kingdom, and 12:00 am

The implementation of this update will result in the cancellation of the Dawning 2021 event in Destiny 2. The Destiny 2 version of the Dawning 2021 will conclude on January 4, 2022.
