Starting from Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines, Darby McDevitt stayed with the franchise for 10 years until Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as a narrative director. Darby was prominent and had a major role in the franchise’s success.
In a Twitter post, he broke this surprising and solemn news, but with a smiling note as now he’s moving on from Ubisoft for a new adventure.
He writes: “Today is my last day at Ubisoft Montreal! After a decade of working with brilliant people, creating stories & characters for an incredible series, & interacting with our wonderful fans, I have decided to set forth on a new adventure…”
Reason for leaving? Definitely not because of any issue or a fallout. It’s safe to say he wishes to experience new things. That’s why he’s leaving the franchise, which is understandable as he’s been here for the last 10 years.

Future Of Assassin’s Creed And Darby
