Davoth is an immortal creature. Further, he is the creation of his father. Also, his father created him to rule the very first realm. The realm was known as Jekkad. Moreover, Jekkad is one of the higher planes of gods in which Davoth and Urdak were just primitive. This plane was basically created for the ruling of Davoth.

Although Davoth was an immortal creature, Urdak was not. This actually happened due to the creation of hell. Also, the father of Davoth had made many restrictions on them and demanded to excel in all the things. Similarly, the people of Jekkad have established many astonishing acts.

Davoth was created with the intention of an endless love towards his people. Also, his desire to be the best embraces the curse of immortality. However, he is always scared of the fact of his people leaving him alone in this realm. These qualities had made him the ruler of the people of Jekkad.

Davoth knows that he cannot die, so he began his search. His father knew that no matter how hard he tried, he cannot accomplish his search. Hence, his father sealed the Jekkad from accessing any other realm. After this act, Davoth has turned the once beautiful realm into the worst. Because of the unstoppable nature of Davoth, his father took away his physical presence and then captured him along with all his powers into a sphere. He finally placed the sphere in the Temple of souls. 

Furthermore, the only way to kill Davoth is to bring him back in physical form and kill him entirely.

Trivia

Many other dangerous demons placed themselves as Dark lord. When we search in the files, the voice after Khan Maykr is marked as the dark lord. However, it changes in the next part of the game. Also, it is expected that the Slayer is the parallel universe of Davoth.
