Tragic news keeps hitting us with the start of 2021, as recently, voice actress Jeanett Maus passed away. Resident Evil players and fans may remember Jeanett Maus as the voice behind Resident Evil Village’s character named Lady Dumitrescu.

After an eight-month battle with colon cancer, Jeanette Maus died at the age of 39. Her fiance, Dusty Warren, set up a Go-fund Campaign page to cover her medical expenses. She had contracted Covid-19 last year and also suffered from Crohn’s disease.

Condolences
In the news of her passing, developer and publisher Capcom paid their condolences in a social media post on Twitter, saying, ” We here at Capcom R&D 1 are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring several different characters, including our witches to the world in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.”

Born and brought up in the northwest of the United States since 1982, Jeanette Maus also had acting credits in Charm City Kings (2020), Dismissed Nancy (2017), and Your Sister’s Sister (2011), and many more.

Her fiance, Dusty Warren, also put out a statement on the passing of Jeanette Maus on Facebook, saying, ” It is with a shattered-yet grateful-heart that I inform you that Jeanette Maus passed away late last night due to complications of cancer,” “I’m unfortunate, but I’m super proud of her. She fought so hard, with tremendous grace and optimism, inspiring myself and I’m sure many of you.” (According to Deadline)
