Epic Games And Current Headquarters Plans
Epic Games have developed world-famous game engine Unreal Engine which power games like Fortnite, Infinity Blade, etc. In August 2020, the company was worth $17.3 billion equity valuation.

Based in Cary, North Carolina in the U.S.A., the video game and software giant Epic Games recently shared the information with Triangle Business Journal that they have purchased Cary Towne Center, 87-acre location in Jan’19. They plan to convert the whole place into their new headquarters by 2024. The company made a deal of a $95 million with Turnbridge Equities and Denali Properties to buy the place they soon plan to include within office spaces, recreational space, etc for their headquarters construction.

“Epic shares our vision for transforming Cary Towne Center into a vibrant community space. This sale is further validation of our value-driven investment strategy, and the property could not be placed in better hands. ” Jason Davis, the managing director at Turnbridge Equities stated in a press release from the Epic Games.
“We’re extremely proud that Epic has chosen to call Cary home for their new global headquarters, and we greatly appreciate the company’s recognition of Cary’s existing assets as well as the unlimited potential of the area for their growing business,” reported Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht.
It is clear to see the Epic Games are very attached to increasing the image, and overall condition of Cary. The Epic Games CEO that the new funds will be used to advance 3D technology and digital Epic Games Store.
Recent Epic Games News
Epic Games have recently come in the news for legal disputes with Google and Apple. Fortnite has been removed from the App Store, and iPhone users have complained that they aren’t able to update to the latest version of the game.
Epic Games currently employees about 2,200 workers. The development of the headquarters project has begun, and we’ll see how the project comes about. Epic Games had their share of success and criticism in the last few years including claims of developing a hacking app for Spotify and Netflix called the Houseparty, a social-media app originally. Claims have subsided now as the company said it will offer a $1 million bounty to anyone who’s able to give substantial sources to prove this rumour as legit.
