Star Citizen is in-development multiplayer space trading and combat simulation game developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games for Microsoft Windows, now being led by Chris Roberts. Squadron 42 is a single-player campaign for Star Citizen which was announced for release in 2014 but then later delayed not once, twice rather multiple times. In mid-2019 CIG stated that a beta release was intended before the end of Q2 2020.

Well the Chairman of the Roberts Space industries (RSI) informs the users that the new Roadmap doesn’t give people an early estimate on when Squadron 42 will be completed. Chris Roberts clearly says Squadron 42 will be done when it is done, and will not be released just to make a date. He decides to announce the release date only when all the technology and content is finished, the game is polished, and it plays great.
“I am not willing to compromise the development of a game I believe in with all my heart and soul, and I feel it would be a huge disservice to all the team members that have poured so much love and hard work into Squadron 42 if we rushed it out or cut corners to put it in the hands of everyone who is clamoring for it”, says Chris Roberts.
The planned Squadron 42 specific update show, the Briefing Room is not cancelled on the whole but just a bit postponed. It will be up closer to the game release which will build up a hype amongst the gamers. This will showcase all the amazing features and details players will experience in Squadron 42.
What to expect from Squadron 42
RSI promises to provide top notch experience to the community. The game is planned to be released in multiple episodes. Well, according to the developers, they will be offering an estimated of 20 hours of gameplay for Squadron 42-Episode 1 with about 70 missions worth of game play, “Squadron 4– Episode Two: Behind Enemy Lines” and “Episode 3,” will be launched later.
