Affected users can download the latest Windows Insider Preview version 1903, which will install the fix automatically on the system. The company said that it had also tested the same fix with Insiders in Beta and Release Preview channels.

Microsoft has fixed the AMD CPU performance issue with a new Windows 11 test build. The newest release offers fixes to other problems reported by Windows Insider testers, including an issue causing some people to see the old Windows 10 taskbar instead of the new Windows 11 one, and another that would cause some people to lose certain device drivers installed on their computers.
AMD acknowledged that some users were seeing performance degradation when running applications following the installation of Windows 11 Build 22000.282 but said that it was not due specifically to changes made in this particular release.
“AMD and Microsoft have been working together to resolve the issue and initial tests indicate that AMD performance has improved,” a spokesperson said, following reports that this new build fixed the problem. “AMD and Microsoft will continue their close collaboration throughout the testing process.”
The Windows performance of AMD processors has been improved with Build 22000.282 of Windows 11. The problem affected games the most, but also other processing-intensive workloads. The problem was attributable to both an L3 caching issue and a “preferred” core problem which was hindering the way thread scheduling worked on a processor’s fastest core.

5) Click “Download” and let Windows download and install this new build on your PC.
