Quarry is a new horror narrative game from 2K Team and Supermassive Games, where your every action, large or little, determines the course of your tale and who lives and who dies.
The game takes place on the last day of summer camp, and the young counselor at Hackett Quarry decides to throw a bash to end it all. Unfortunately for them, things took a turn for the worse when locals drenched in blood and “more sinister” events turned the party night into a night of dread.
In The Quarry, you’ll take on the role of each of the nine camp counselors, and any character can rise to prominence or perish before dawn.
The cast of the game includes David Arquette (Scream), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Justice Smith (Jurassic World), Brenda Song (Babyface), Lance Heng Rixon (Alien), Lin Shaye (Nightmare on Elm Street), and more.
Here is the list of features:
- Let them join you in your game of story creation. Will they provide you with a chance to change your fate, or will it all be too late? Are you brave enough to peek behind the trapdoor? Will you search for the voices emanating from the forest as screams of agony? Will you save your companion or flee for your life if need be? Every little decision has an impact on how your tale is told.
- Throughout a decade-long research project, we developed the newest generation of cutting-edge AI technology. Cutting-edge facial capture and cinematic lighting technologies, as well as spectacular performances from an all-star cast of Hollywood stars, bring the horrors of Hackett Quarry to life, bringing you to life in a thrilling cinematic thrill ride.
- Get the scare on with your pals. In online games, trust up to 7 buddies, invite players to watch and vote on major choices, and create a narrative based on all of them. Alternatively, play together in a group horror couch co-op game where each player controls their advisor and actions.
- Depending on your preferences, you may personalize your experience in any way. The game’s adjustable difficulty levels allow players of all skill levels to enjoy the terror. If you want to watch instead of participate, Movie Mode allows you to immerse yourself in The Quarry as a suspenseful thriller worth binge-watching. Choose how the tale will conclude, fight back against it while eating popcorn between each scream.
Quarry will be available for purchase on June 10 and will be launched for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
The Quarry will be released in physical and digital formats for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as being optimized for next-gen consoles.
The deluxe edition, which is available solely in digital format for consoles and PC, includes the full game, Gorefest movie mode choice, instant access to the death rewind system, a horror history visual filter pack, and 80s-style character costumes. The retro collection adds 80s-style make-up character costumes for playable characters to the game. On or before July 8th, it will be delivered automatically in-game.
This update adds the Gorefest option to Movie Mode, which allows you to start playing and see the frightening, gory, splashing version of The Quarry. This violent selection has plenty of death, dismemberment, and pails of blood for fans of the mill’s macabre nature.
The death rewind system, a retry mechanism that’s generally unlocked after you’ve completed the quarry for the first time, is also included. You begin here with three opportunities to reverse the deaths of playable characters, allowing you to alter your fate and save them in the process – but each playthrough can only be retried three times. Just keep in mind that undoing one character’s conclusion may result in the demise of another.
There is also the horror history visual filter pack. This allows you to customize the game’s aesthetic to your liking by choosing from three cinematic visual filters, each replicating a different era and style of horror filmmaking. You can choose from 8mm-style film grain (Indie Horror), a retro VHS aesthetic (80s horror) or a classic black and white cinema filter (Classic Horror).
In the Deluxe Edition, purchases on PlayStation and Xbox allow you to download both current and next-gen versions of the game. It lacks cross-progression of save data, and the multiplayer feature is restricted to consoles produced by the same Microsoft or Sony generations.
