Riot Games is a popular FPS game “League of Legends” to mobile devices later this year.

The company has been working on Valorant Mobile since 2014 and plans for the game to launch in 2018, according to Riot Games president Marc Merrill. As with League of Legends, players will be able to purchase new characters and items through microtransactions within Valorant Mobile’s free-to-play app. “We’re really excited about the new features that are being added,” said Merrill.

Valorant Mobile also includes a multiplayer mode where friends can battle each other without ever needing access or download the full version from Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store.”

There does not appear to be any official announcement on when it’s coming out. However, Riot Games has announced before they are releasing their own version some time this year with no specific mention as to an actual release date yet.

Valorant Mobile was originally advertised as only being able to run on iOS systems which mean iPhones and iPads operating under iOS 11 or higher versions of software updates.
