Tesla is going  to setup  headquarters in India, Mumbai, in order to branch out more. This definitely will impact the Electric vehicle industry in India.

Elon Musk-led electric vehicle company Tesla, needs no introduction in the automotive industry, and even though it’s not much seen in India due to its astonishingly high prices, people still recognize Tesla due to the achievements it has accomplished and of course, due to its CEO Elon Musk.

With how much the company has grown, there’s no surprise that the company would want to expand its business in the India as well, by focussing on the massive Indian market. It was in the news that the company was looking for a place to set up its headquarters, and seems like they have found the place.

Mumbai is going to become the place for the company’s office, and where the first Tesla showroom in India will be set up.  Lower Parel-Worli will be the place where they set up their headquarters.

According to the sources, the company will set up its production base in Karnataka.

Company’s First Showrooms

Aside from Mumbai, Tesla might also open its showrooms in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and Delhi. That’s something to look forward to.

“Tesla India is moving full speed ahead with building a local team. We are excited to see the progress. Hoping to see you (Musk) in India when @Tesla delivers the first cars,” Tesla Club India Tweeted on Wednesday. It’s an unofficial created for the people who love and support Tesla.

 

Ex-Reliance as HR leader for Tesla

Tesla India has decided to have Chithra Thomas as their HR leader for the company. In the past, She has worked with Reliance Retail as the vice president and HR leader of the company’s e-commerce initiative Ajio.com. And before joining Tesla, she was working at Walmart for 5 years and with HP for 6 years.

Seeing its expansion in India, We might see the rise of electric cars in India, as this will also push other Electric vehicle companies in India to give their best and make a mark in Indian market.
