It has been three years since Naughty Dog has released Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Yet. we are here, reviewing the action-adventure title. How does the gameplay make the player hooked up? What is the secret behind the success of the title? We touch all the great features we find in this game.
From the cover image, we see two females ready to fight. Though the gameplay is not anything special – we have seen such games a lot, like The Tomb Raider and The Last of Us, what makes the game stand out is the storyline. And yes, the graphics. While the game is pretty much similar to the previous Uncharted titles, playing the previous games is a must to be able to understand the story well. Everything seems to be prepared with care, from the environmental details to the combat systems. No wonder this game stands out in these categories.
This is where things get really better. The story focuses on exploring India and takes the players through a fantastic mythological journey through the country’s temples. Everything seems well-researched that will make the players go wow. The story takes players to various places, from The Western Ghats to Belur. We will not be giving spoilers, so find out more fascinating environments yourself by playing the game.
Gameplay and Graphics
This is the section where Naughty Dog has done an especially good task. The gameplay is a mixture of everything, so you will not feel bored with any of it. It contains action, fighting, roaming around in the wilderness, solving puzzles to proceed further, all in a nice package. You may feel it similar to other games you have played. Try playing the game without any help or guide, and you will find the campaign to be extending for long hours. The game also features good emotional bonding, thanks to the storyline and direction. If that is not enough, you can also choose dialogues using a tree structure, which makes the game more fun and engaging.
The graphics of the game is really great, also bagging an award or two in that category. Yes, certain things and places seem boring, unless you love exploring them on and on. The cinematic action scenes and visuals are magnificent. There are lots to see other than what is shown. Every detail is finely designed to let gamers enjoy a cinematic experience while controlling the character.
No doubt one of the best adventure games, it still has some competitors. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is great but sometimes boring game, which lets players through tasks that may look similar to it previous titles. There are more such games in the market, like The Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Naughty Dog’s own The Last of Us Part 2. The storyline and direction of the game is what has made it a huge success. While the massive open-world could have more interactive materials, the plot is thrilling and the storyline engaging.
