E3 2021 is going to happen soon. E3 is the gaming expo organized by Entertainment Software Association (ESA) every year, where hardware manufacturers, video game developers and software developers will showcase their new and upcoming products. Let’s see when E3 2021 is going to happen and who are all going to attend this event.
Online Event
E3 2021 will begin from June 12, 2021 and it will happen till June 15, 2021. ESA is planning to conduct this year E3 event as a online event. As E3 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, E3 2021 will be a digital gaming expo rather than in Los Angeles where it actually happens every year. ESA announced that there will be live press conference and four day long video stream.
Free to everyone
Through the blog post, ESA has announced that this E3 2021 will be free to everyone. ESA along with it’s worldwide media partners going to make this event as free. They have also stated, “We are evolving this year’s E3 into a more inclusive event, but will still look to excite the fans with major reveals and insider opportunities that make this event the indispensable center stage for video games,” ESA President and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis.

So there will be some exciting news waiting for the players from these list of developers.
Sony
Sony is not going to be in this E3 2021 event. Along with Sony, other major gaming developers like EA, Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, Sega, Bando Namco, and Square Enix will not be participating in this event. It’s a little shock to hear that Sony and other major developers are absent from this E3 2021. But still, they can make their own expo and release their games or they will make use of Summer Game Fest.
Summer Game Fest
As E3 2020 was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic, a Canadian journalist called Geoff Keighley along with other game developers started this Summer Game Fest. The game developers associated with this event are Bethesda, Blizzard Entertainment, CD Projekt Red, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Riot Games, Sony, and Square Enix. This Summer Game Fest will happen in June 2021.
