Fortnite’s developers Epic games is endorsing a total ban on players doing wager matches. Famous player like clix have been warned already for doing this, and this will only get more strict from now.
Won't be playing or having anything to do with wagers anymore, just got personally messaged by epic and was told to stop or will result in a ban. Recommend others to stop as well, tweeting this so people are aware.

What Are Wager Matches?
Wager matches are self-made matches in which players bet on who is going to win or betting on certain consequence of the real world money.
Fortnite has become one of the most popular games of all time. It’s a big success for Epic games, but for them, it’s also a sign that they have to deal with rule offenders every day. Thousands of them, or even more. One of those offending acts is gambling, and people break this rule a lot- something Epic games doesn’t want to tolerate.
The Reason For This Ban ?
There’s a simple reason. Players doing wager matches were increasing rapidly, to a point Epic Games had to do something about it, and they needed to do it strictly.
People gamble on these matches for thousands of dollars sometimes, and they could overlook it, but when a kid who’s under 18 gambles using thousands of dollars of their money wasting on gambling matches. Then? It must not be happening. Even if they are using their money, it’s still must not happen when it comes to kids.
Not just that, but these kinds of matches also open up gates for cheating. People do match fixing and several pro players or streamers play against each other or viewers to win money in the end.
It’s very clear that Fortnite did this also to discourage kids to gamble in Fortnite.
How will it affect the game and the players?
While it fixes a major legal issue , it does hurt the market of Fortnite, and in a way, it kills fun for people for whom it’s a way to keep things interesting – as , it can be seen that Fortnite is not going in good direction with many people already dealing with some other major issues like stream sniping , scrims ban, uninteresting Arena matches and now this.

Fortnite will have to address these issues or else, the future of Fortnite could be concerning, and it can lose its popularity- at least by a noticeable margin unless they do something about it.
