Just July last year sucker punch launched a third person stealth game Ghost of Tsushima. The game which is set in the late thirteenth century japan gained acclaim from critics all across the world, for it’s awesome graphics and the combat system too. The realistic fights which are fairly difficult were also a reason for the game’s acclaim. In the market too the game did quite well selling well over 5 million copies in the initial months itself. The game however, soon enough launched an online multiplayer mode. This mode has received a great response from players all over. The reason for this is the well developed feedback mechanism of the game developers. The game focuses on stealth play. Though the player is free to go berserk if he wishes to but that would be problematic too, because the enemies are realistically strong.
The game is a third person open world one, and the players aren’t provided with any map or waypoint, they have to stumble here and there and find objectives much like Valve’s classic half life.
To bank on the sizable playing community that the game had gathered, the developers launched an online multiplayer mode called “Legends” late last year.
The mode features different characters than the main story and have basically two modes right now with one being planned:
- First one is a story mission based on the local japanese folktales. Two players can play together in these.
- Second one is a horde mode, where a team of four players fight wave after wave of enemies.
- A third called raid is said to be under development.

The prime reason for the popularity of the multiplayer mode is the constant and regular updates it receives. The game developers take into account all the suggestions and complaints of the players thus improving the game more and more.
So, the latest update in that direction is the Update 1.20 which has already started rolling out now. The patch notes of the update suggests that the update does some major bug fixes and performance optimization.
The update is a hefty 623 mb, so we expect some serious improvements to the game.
