The Chinese tech giant One Plus has released the new android 11 updates for its phones. The update will be rolled out in India, Europe, and Australia first. The new update will work on many bug fixes, including glitches with auto-rotate function, wifi connectivity, Bluetooth, and other similar features.

This means, that users will have to check their phones. Go to Settings, and select “System Updates” to access the new android patchwork. In India, the firmware carries build number 11.0.3.3.IN21DA for the OnePlus 8 and 11.0.3.3.IN11DA for the OnePlus 8 Pro.

  • The new User Interface is far sleeker, it comes with various themes that are more detail-oriented. All in all, we feel with the new update, there is much more data visible on the same screen.
  • Roughly 35% of the home screen is dedicated to widgets, headings, notes, etc. This ensures better visibility and understanding of the page you are on.  While 65% of the screen will remain for the core cooperation area.
  • The Always-on-Display feature is also worth noting. While it’s been a common feature since the first iteration of android phones. Each update brings about a better sense of visibility and direction.
  • The new AoD features a wide range of widgets that can be seen inside or outside the lock screen page as per customization.

One Plus 8 specs

  • The phone comes in 2 models. One Plus 8 and One Plus 8 Pro. The former bears a 90Hz, 6.55-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED screen while the latter gets a 120Hz, 6.78-inch QHD+ (1440×3168 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display.
  • The Pro model also boasts of IP68 dust and water resistance.
  • Both the models draw Snapdragon 865 chipset, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
  • The standard model has a 4,300mAh battery with 30W wired fast-charging while the Pro variant houses a 4,510mAh battery with 30W wired and 30W wireless charging support. The devices also offer support for the latest connectivity features.
