CERN scientists, under the experiment named “Alpha” were able to cool down Anti matter to near zero by laser beam. As said by home.com: “The ALPHA experiment is a successor of an earlier antimatter experiment, ATHENA. Set up in late 2005 with similar overall research goals as its predecessor, ALPHA makes, captures and studies atoms of antihydrogen and compares these with hydrogen atoms.”
Anti matter is like regular matter but with few properties flipped which is mysterious, and making anti matter is a very difficult thing to pull of even for the CERN scientists, thus anti matter is the most expensive substance on earth with $65 trillion per gram. (not that anyone normal would even want to buy one!)

Previously scientists used de-accelerators to cool down molecules but this time they used laser beam. As nature.com said, the technique might enable some fundamental symmetries of the Universe to be probed with exceptionally high precision.

These energies are so tremendous that one teaspoon of these substances are equal to the power of 10 nuclear bombs, and can turn a big city into dust. But worry not! No one has ever produced these substances in an alarming quantity as it’s really hard to make anti matter. But what’s even harder is to make stable anti matter. This is where the idea of slowing down the particles come in, and the concept of cooling these particles arose. In 2011, scientists at CERN were able to stabilize an antihydrogen atom for about 15 minutes.
