What is the new Gesture Navigation in Android 12 ?
- Currently, you are using the hard and soft buttons in android smartphone for navigating. And android is making some new amazing update to its android 12 version which is gesture navigation.
- There are some changes to the new update but the new gesture update will be in the Android Q which will take time to come in future. They are bringing the gesture fro the notification bar which will give an option of swipe to go back home. This will be a 2 step process and simple to implement.
- As far as we know it is a simple single time swipe gesture that will give you a full-screen view on android 2 and will group all the apps together.
- This update will be varied and be different for different apps in android 12. For example for google photos will give an option to exit the full-screen view with just a single swipe to go back home without entering into the navigation bar.
- However, it doesn’t work in many apps like youtube or chrome and many more.

Android 12 update and release date
- Google is continuing to use the dessert theme name after its kast and version 10 which was called Quince Tar followed by Android 11 called “Red Velvet Cake” and now Android 12 will be called “Snow Cone”.
- Still, now google has not confirmed any exact release date for the android 12 but the company had shared some glimpse for the android 12 version.
- Initially, Android 12 will be available for devices like:

- Pixel 4a 5G
- Pixel 4a
- Pixel 4
- Pixel 4 XL
- Pixel 3a
- Pixel 3a XL
- Pixel 3
- Pixel 3 XL
- For supported google device, you can download the updates directly through software update but fir the other android device and you can download the android 12 packages from the official site.
