Telltale Games’ Borderlands Tales may finally make their way to the popular PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It seems like the latter could get a new lease of life quite soon, with Gematsu announcing last December that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X edition of Tales of the Borderlands were scored by the British PEGI certification site.
PS5 and Xbox series x to receive tales of the Borderlands
- Depending on when the console releases in your territory. You will be able to start playing Borderlands 3 on Xbox consoles on November 10, and on PS5 on November 12.
- 2K also stated that if you already own a PS4 or Xbox One copy of the title, you can update free of charge within the same console family. That’s a pretty good deal for the new and old Vault Hunters. Tales of the Borderlands originally released in 2014. The stories following Hyperion employee Rhys and con-artist Fiona as the unlikely duo come together in search of one of the franchise’s mysterious vaults.
Will It Arrive On The New Gen Consoles ?
- It’s not certain when the game will arrive on the new consoles, but Gearbox has stated that it will be possible for current Borderlands 3 players to move their saves at no additional cost to the upgraded PS5 and Xbox Series X models.

- No doubt, fans of Telltale’s take on the Borderlands universe will welcome Rhys and Fiona coming back for next-gen consoles. It is fair that the newly formed Telltale team might also take on a sequel to the project if it were to do well. It will bring the characters back for a second season.
- In 2018, after years of mismanagement by management, Telltale, as it was originally called, closed its doors. Efforts were made to save the studio before the closure; the company, for example, invested in new technologies to boost the quality of its games. Even so, it was too little, too late. In late 2019, due to the acquisition of its properties by the LCG Entertainment holding group, the Telltale brand got a new lease on life.
So, Borderlands 3 releases on Xbox consoles on November 10, and on PS5 on November 12. Mark your calendars.
