Godzilla & King Kong are seducing moderate through-fare. But Not Alone
After months of rumors, leaks, and apparent hints, Call of Duty has officially confirmed and teased that Godzilla and King Kong will be appearing in Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard. The partnership will take place on May 11, but the specifics of what it would involve remaining unknown.
The in-game event is dubbed “Operation Monarch,” a nod to Legendary Pictures’ Monsterverse series of films’ scientific group committed to kaiju research. It appears that the operations, as well as the classic movie couple, will be transferred to the Call of Duty globe. The busy monsters, who will star in a future Godzilla series and a Godzilla vs. Kong sequel, make yet another appearance.

While the arrival of the kings has been confirmed, little is known about what the monsters will bring to Vanguard and Warzone. According to the crossover’s most recent teaser, the two may decide to make the planet their home, and players will have to avoid them and the havoc they cause throughout their battles with others. Perhaps Godzilla’s infamous atomic breath will surface as a challenge, forcing gamers to seek refuge in safe shelters or bunkers, as suggested in a previous trailer. Or it might simply suggest that monster-themed cosmetics will be added to the game.
In the spirit of unusual collaborations, Call of Duty recently teamed up with Snoop Dogg, who can now be found in both Vanguard and Warzone. Hopefully, he’ll be able to face off against the King of Monsters.
