Fortnite X Street Fighter – Crossover
For some while, there was a huge hype due to a leak regarding a crossover between Fortnite and Street Fighter. And right after a few hours of the leak, there came an official statement confirming the above news.
The grand crossover involves the introduction of two prominent Street Fighters in Fornite. Those characters are Chun-Li and Ryu. As a part of this event, Sunday opens Fornite’s in-game shop for new Street Fighter skins. Thus, players will be accessing new skins from February 20, 2021, starting from 4 pm PT / 7 pm ET.

How did it begin ?
Fortnite Street Fighter cosmetics were already circulating through Fornite’s most in-depth leaks. All thanks to a reliable leaker, namely ShiinaBR who got the portal arrivals into our notice. Portals are Epic’s way of introducing crossover contents to Fortnite. It wasn’t just unannounced but also featured Suzaku Castle background from Street Fighter 2. The dead ringer for Ryu’s theme song also added to the leak’s assurance.
In addition to all that Guille GAG leaked the screenshot showing Fornite’s Chun-Li and Ryu skins. The video of Chun-Li and Ryu getting sucked into the Fornite universe from an arcade cabinet came out from FortnitePook707. The Hyakuretsukaku flurry kick and Shoryuken for Chun-Li and Ryu, respectively, mark the leak of emote clip.
All this gave enough confirmation right before the official statement of crossover.

Current Updates
- Now, the next portal in Fortnite is wide open. You will be able to see Chun-Li and Ryu appearing from the door. Epic Games’ battle royale has the live tease for it now.
- Southwest of Sweaty Sands comprises this portal where Ryu’s iconic Suzaku Castle reveals.
- Twitter also got the crossover announcement trailer but went into the trash, later.
- Street Fighter characters are now the latest special guest stars in Zero Point which is Fortnite’s crossover-fest. It began along with Season 5.
- Crossover items and gifts are still under search. The expectations of new arrivals are in the skin, emote, mission and mode sections but, there are no confirmations till now.
