The Agent is a spy game, that is under development at the Rockstar Games studio. The game was first teased in 2007, and developers have been working at it for almost 2 decades now. The game had his fair share of vows.
However, most recently two developers, ex-employees of Rockstar Games, made some public statements which may shed some light on the whole problem.
Rockstar Artist ends up in jail while working on an Agent
The game’s story takes place in multiple cities. One city, in particular, gave the developers a lot of problems, Cairo. The city had barely any images on the internet back in the year 2000. Developing the maps through google satellite was a tedious and unmitigated disaster in itself. Therefore, the group hired a team of photographers and set themselves up in Cairo. However, trouble soon followed. Apparently, taking photographs is restricted in Egypt.
The entire crew was put on house arrest. And in fact, the police were ready to brand them on charges of shooting pornography. Their drives were nabbed, one of the crew members was flying off to the US on that day, he was arrested at the airport. Soon after, the investigation began. After an extensive search, they were all eventually let go.
The Unreleased Agent of GTA 5
As of now, the situation seems dire for the game, much to the dismay of all the fans. The team from the entire Rockstar North studio was lifted off the assignment and are apparently now working in GTA V. With the success of the game, it’s unlikely that Agent will ever see the light of day. We can only be hopeful. Consistently screenshots and teasers have been leaked of the game. Originally intended for PS3, the game will have to go some serious overhauling to be made PS5 ready, or even PC. Who knows what the future holds.
