Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag may be a new object tracking device that Samsung will offer—expected to hit the market on January 14, 2021, with the launch of Samsung’s most anticipated smartphone Samsung Galaxy S21. The Smart Tag will be compatible with Samsung’s latest Smart Things find feature.
For a while now, we have known that Samsung has been working on a smart object tracker, called the Galaxy Smart Tag (code name EI-T5300), not unlike Apple and its AirTag.
Key Features of Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag

Details of the estimated price and color variants of the device have appeared online ahead of its expected launch.
- The Galaxy Smart Tag will be powered by a single, removable 3V CR2032 button cell and may support Bluetooth 5.1, as per a report.
- The Galaxy Smart Tag supports Bluetooth 5.1 – an update to the previous Bluetooth version, which boasts indoor power navigation and tracking tags.
- But the Smart Tag is certified as a Bluetooth LE device, which means that some of the more advanced features are unlikely to make an appearance.
- It should be capable of delivering a distinctly “next-gen” positioning experience at up to a theoretical 400m indoors and 1000m outdoors while also consuming minimal power.
- The Galaxy Smart Tag is intended to provide similar functionality as the tiny tag Tile tracker that can be attached to any object or connected to items to track where that specific object is.
- The Smart Tag has a switch to find a connected phone and an onboard buzzer to help users find the tracker.
A certification website revealed the new Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag’s physical appearance that shows that the tracker has a rounded-square shape and a lanyard-shaped hole for a cord or strap.
Price and available colors
Through our detailed research we get to know that there are two colour options for the Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag. One is black and other is oatmeal. As for pricing, industry sources have suggested a MSRP of around EUR 15 to 20 (approx 1796 INR).
