The items have been rearranged in the shop section in the order of their cost changes. Like for example- Magic Wand will combine onto Magic Stick, Bloodthorn will combine onto Orchid Malevolence.
Next, we can see that the HUD now shows Scepter and Shard upgrades for the selected hero, next to their abilities, and which ones are active. Also, alt-Clicking on the Scepter and Shard UI will notify your allies whether the selected hero owns that upgrade.

Aghanim’s Shards
Aghanim’s Shard is an item purchasable for 1400 Gold at the 20-minute mark gets consumed immediately when it’s given to your hero (like Aghanim’s Blessing).
All heroes have their own custom shard upgrade, which permanently adds a new ability or improves an existing one.
